Tone Bianca Sparre Dahl studied to be a singing- and pianoteacher, later as conductor. She finished her studies at the Norwegian Academy of Music in 1991 as Master of Arts in choral conducting. She is now associate professor in choral conducting at the Norwegian Academy of Music, and is receiving a 10 year grant from the Norwegian State as conductor since 2014.

She is also the conductor of the chamber choir Schola Cantorum and the Chamber Choir YMIR, and is frequently used as lecturer for choirs and choral conductors in many countries.
Schola Cantorum (www.scholacantorum.no) is regarded to be one of Norway’s best chamber choirs, and is known for their special ability to communicate. In 2005 the choir won Grand Prize at the Tolosa International Choral Festival, as well as three 1st prizes, and in 2007 they won the Silver Rose Bowl in the prestiguos radiocompetition “Let the peoples sing”.

In 2002 Tone Bianca wrote a book for conductors upon singing, choral pedagogics and communication, published in norwegian , swedish and english.
The english title is “The Choir – leading, singing, communicating”.

Tone Bianca Sparre Dahl tok diplomeksamen i kordireksjon ved Norges musikkhøgskole i 1991. Hun har siden undervist ved skolen, og er nå ansatt som førsteamanuensis i dirigering. Hun er fast dirigent for kammerkoret Schola Cantorum, som de siste årene har markert seg som et av Norges ledende ensembler. http://www.scholacantorum.no. Koret vant i 2007 The Silver Rose Bowl i radiokonkurransen Let the Peoples Sing, og har de siste årene vært etterspurt til festivaler og turneer internasjonalt. Koret representerte Norge under Verdenskorsymposiet i København, hvor også Tone Bianca Sparre Dahl holdt foredrag om kommunikasjon mellom kor og dirigent. Tone har også en utstrakt freelancevirksomhet  som stemmepedagog, dirigent og foredragsholder, og har utgitt en lærebok i korledelse , Korkunst, som er oversatt til svensk og engelsk. Fra 2014 mottar hun statens 10-årige arbeidsstipend for etablerte kunstnere.
